During these consultations, the focus is always on the efficiency of vehicle usage. From a broad range of shunting locomotives, the customer chooses the vehicle that suits them the best in terms of performance, weight and usage.

San is available to its customers with advice and assistance throughout the life cycle of the locomotive. We help the customer choose the vehicle with the aid of internally developed software and provide a comprehensive service covering everything from maintenance and an efficient supply of parts to complete vehicle retrofits.

Our engineering products team is available for sizing of cardan shafts, gears and gear boxes for varied applications. With the latest engineering softwares, our design team is capable of designing customized gear boxes for varied applications.

Our Bangalore location has state of the art facilities for maintenance, repair and  overhaul of transmissions and final drives of our diesel hydraulic locomotives. Our Mysore facility can refurbish and repair gear boxes and cardan shafts.

Comprehensive services for all products:

  • Selling of new SAN locomotives, gears boxes, cardan shafts and power packs,
  • Customer services for locomotives made by SAN
  • On-site service provision (from commissioning and scheduled maintenance work right up to general servicing)
  • SAN Locomotives annual Maintenance contracts (demand-orientated and varyingly extensive concepts from maintenance packages right up to full service)
  • General inspections
  • Repair of bogies, brake components, cooling systems, wheel sets and wheel set gear sets
  • Modernization of the locomotive control and/or pneumatic system
  • Retrofitting with new harnesses and modernizing the electrical system
  • Well-stocked spare parts warehouse

We also service bogies and frames on requests from customers.

Education and Health support to differently abled

The company is supporting the special training, health care and education of visually challenged persons. These specially designed trainings and support programmes assist the persons with disability to become independent, confident and self reliant, thus helping them to integrate into mainstream of society.

Employment enhancing vocational training

We support vocational training of less educated unemployed youth of age group 18 – 25 by associating with ‘Unnati’ of SGBS Trust, an organisation established to provide employment oriented training. Unnati trains both male and female youths in various disciplines like retail sales, marketing, office assistant, guest care, field service, beauticians etc., which enhances the employability of these youths. Apart from giving basic vocational training, Unnati also guides the students with life skills, communication skills, personal and community values which builds self confidence in them and makes them employable. At the end of the training period these students gets assured placements in reputed organizations.

Eradication of Hunger and Support to Primary Education

The company, through its CSR initiative and the voluntary contributions of employees, is supporting the mid-day meal programme of Akshaya Patra Foundation in seven government schools covering over 1,500 school children every day. This program aims at providing a sumptuous & nutritional meal to the school children as a result the children are drawn to the schools, thus have a chance to get educated. The unlimited meals eradicate hunger to a great extent and helps children to focus on the school lessons and learn as much as possible.
